We finished last year's Porta season with heartwarming Caribbean rhythms with the stunning performances by the captivating Ana Carla Maza. As a result of the emotions, smiles, and invigorating energy we encountered, we understood that we want to pass on at least a small part of this splendor to the new music talents among us. Therefore, from March 4th to 7th, 2024, the artist will share her experience and the secrets of creating music filled with vibrant rhythms with the students of Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School! We are infinitely grateful for the ongoing collaboration with the creative souls of this school and their openness to let the sounds of the world enter the framework of music studies.
At the end of this series of classes, on March 7th, 2024, we invite you, Porta listener, to Fon Stricka Villa, where Ana Carla Maza will perform one more time with her solo program and, together with music students, play what they have created together throughout the week.
